Biography

A lifetime resident of Wabash, Indiana, and more recently Palm City, Florida, Bob became interested in photography as a teenager. He has traveled throughout the world and on all seven continents composing images of beautiful landscapes, animals, and historic areas, but his primary interest is in capturing images of interesting people.
Bob’s photographic credits include a “Best of Show”, “Second Place” and “Honorable Mention” among various entries in juried Honeywell Foundation Photography Shows open to all Indiana photographers, and in the Artisans Unlimited exhibition in Palm City, Florida. In spring 2013 he displayed his Antarctica images in an exhibit called “Far, Far Away” at the Honeywell Center in Wabash. And later in that summer the same exhibit appeared in a one man show at Kosciusko County’s Lakeland Art Association. In 2014 his photography has been chosen to display in "The National: Best Contemporary Photography 2014" by the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Bob's photographs have been displayed on the National Geographic Website and have been selected in a competition by a Midwestern insurance company to be included in their calendar for three years. His works are in homes in California, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Stockholm, Sweden, and Andalucia, Spain.
Bob has studied under Richard E. Peeler, Professor of Photography, DePauw University, and National Geographic photographers, Ralph Lee Hopkins and Michael S. Nolan. He spends his summers in Charlevoix, Michigan, where he is a member of the Charlevoix Photography Club and winters in Palm City, Florida. You may contact him at rbeauchamp@me.com.
